Travis Pratt from Tifton, Georgia, had wanted to be a singer his whole life, but he said it is hard to silence the voice in your head telling you that you can’t. He came to America’s Got Talent because his girlfriend pushed him to do it. He called her his rock and his encouragement.
He told the judges he would sing a song his girlfriend loves, the opera aria “O mio babbino caro”. Nobody in the room was ready for what came next.
Travis opened his mouth and a soaring soprano voice came out 🎶. The audience could not believe it was him, and one judge even asked if he was lip syncing. He was not, and he hit every high note himself.
Howard called it the most outrageous audition he had ever seen and, in the kindest way, called him a freak. The judges brought his girlfriend of almost five years up to the stage and praised her for seeing something special in him. Then they gave Travis a big yes ❤️.
