Tara Simon from Atlanta runs a performing arts studio and coaches singers for a living. Before her X Factor audition she was doing push-ups backstage to warm up her voice and calling herself the Simon Cowell of her studio.
On stage she told the judges she was there to win and even wanted a seat on the panel one day. Simon told her to stop talking and start singing, so she went straight into “Without You,” reaching for big, powerful high notes. 🎶
Simon said she oversang parts of it, but added that she had talent and steel in her eyes. Demi Lovato admitted she was not feeling the start, then was blown away by Tara’s Mariah Carey style runs.
One by one the judges said yes, and Tara walked off with four of them. The coach finally got to prove herself as the contestant. ❤️
