Susan Boyle singing I Dreamed a Dream on Britain's Got Talent

When Susan Boyle stepped onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage, few people in the theater expected much. She told the judges she was 47, came from Blackburn in West Lothian, and dreamed of becoming a professional singer. She said she had never been given the chance before.

Asked who she would like to be as successful as, Susan answered Elaine Paige, and some of the audience laughed. Then she announced her song, “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables, a huge song for any singer.

The moment she started singing, the laughter stopped 🎶. Her voice filled the room, and the crowd rose to its feet long before the final note. The judges sat in shock as the cheers grew louder.

One judge called it the biggest surprise in years and reminded everyone that people had laughed at first, but no one was laughing now. Another said it was a complete privilege to listen and the biggest wake-up call ever. The vote ended with three yeses, including the biggest yes one judge had ever given. It is still remembered as one of the most iconic moments in the show’s history ❤️.
