Jeff Brinkman is 36, lives in Longmont, Colorado, and runs a doggy daycare. Before his X Factor audition he joked that he had to remember how to talk to people instead of dogs, and admitted he already missed his furry friends.
There was a story behind his timing. His daughter was due right around the day of the audition, but she arrived six weeks early. She was doing great, and that gave Jeff the chance to be there while his wife stayed in the hospital with the baby. He said it felt like his daughter was giving him a thumbs up.
Then he sang “Can’t You See” 🎶, and the judges heard something special. One of them loved his raspy voice and called him fresh and original, while another said he has a beautiful recording voice that could sell records.
Another judge called it a brilliant vocal and said Jeff has a naturally great voice. All four judges said yes. Afterward, Jeff said becoming a dad made him want to chase his dream even more, so he can take care of his family with music ❤️.
