Twelve-year-old Shaheen Jafargholi walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage in 2009 with big hopes and visible nerves. He started with “Valerie”, the song made famous by Amy Winehouse, but the audition did not go the way he had planned.
Simon Cowell stopped the music and asked him to try something else. Shaheen chose “Who’s Loving You” by The Jackson 5, and from the very first line the room changed completely. His voice sounded far older than his age, full of control and feeling. 🎶
The judges and the audience were amazed by what they were hearing. A shaky start had turned into one of the most memorable auditions of the series.
Sometimes all a young performer needs is one more chance. Shaheen took his, and he proved that real talent can shine even after a difficult beginning. ❤️
