A millionaire discovered a maid sleeping on his bed when he entered his hotel room, but what he did startled everyone 
A man with a stellar reputation in the business world, the millionaire had come to another city for crucial discussions. He was lodging in one of the most opulent hotels’ presidential suites, which had been meticulously furnished for visitors, complete with plush carpets, glistening chandeliers, and faultless service.
He went back to the room to get some papers and take a short break after a lengthy discussion. However, he paused as soon as he opened the door and saw a woman in a blue maid’s uniform sleeping soundly on his large bed.
Her clothing were filthy, her hands were rough from working nonstop, and her face was exhausted. She was unaware that she was on a millionaire’s bed.
For a long moment, the man stood watching the sight. He became irritated—who was going to mess with his opulent suite?
His eyes caused the maid to awaken. Her eyes became wide with fear. She instantly leaped to her feet, frantically fixing her uniform:
Please pardon me, sir! I was unaware that I had fallen asleep. I haven’t slept for the past three days of work. We don’t have enough employees, and I’m too busy to eat. Don’t complain, please. I’ll alter the sheets and fix everything immediately.
She was shaking because she thought she would be penalized or fired. However, the millionaire took an entirely unexpected action.
— Relax. I understand the meaning of hard effort. My wife used to be a maid, you know. This is exactly how I met her in a motel. Thus, rest.
The woman was shocked by what she heard.
The millionaire approached the table, removed several huge banknotes, and put them in the open:
— This is not a penalty. It’s an expression of gratitude for your work. You can get a bit more sleep; I’m heading out for my business meetings. Nobody will ever find out.
He gathered his papers and walked out in silence.
The maid couldn’t contain her tears as she stood there holding the cash. This was more than just kindness to her; it was evidence that her efforts were at last being appreciated.
