Evie Clair was only 13 when she came back to the America’s Got Talent stage for the 2017 Judge Cuts. Her father was fighting cancer at the time, and she wanted this performance to be for him.
She chose Macy Gray’s “I Try” and sang it with remarkable calm for her age. Her clear, gentle voice filled the room, and every line carried the love she felt for her dad. 🎶
The judges were clearly moved, both by her voice and by the strength she showed while her family was going through such a hard time.
