Ashley’s family, notably his farmer father, encouraged him to pursue his dream of being a professional musician. They even hoped that Ashley might one day play at the Royal Variety Show, which they knew Her Majesty would love.

He acknowledged that Ashley’s performance was outstanding, though, adding that he was compelled to change his mind due to the very positive response from the live crowd. In the end, Ashley got three “yeses,” with Simon choosing to support the enthusiasm of David Walliams and the audience. He advanced to the following round thanks to his strong ambition and exceptional talent, demonstrating that his dream of a career in music was unquestionably achievable.
