Unaware that his mistress had long been aware of his extramarital affairs, the husband lied to his wife and took a vacation with her. He never anticipated such a surprise from his wife 
For weeks, Arthur had been living in suspense. He picked a resort, made reservations for a two-person excursion, and concealed it in the car inside a packet of papers as part of his meticulously planned covert getaway with his young lover. He made a fictitious order for his wife’s purportedly urgent business trip.
He looked exhausted when he returned home in the evening.
He informed his wife, “I have to leave on a work trip tomorrow.”
She merely nodded—Arthur had grown aloof and agitated in the last few months. However, he was so sure of his deception that he didn’t even consider the possibility that his wife was already aware of it.
She had long harbored suspicions. She had a gut feeling it was another lady, not work.
But until that night, she had no evidence.
When Arthur went to sleep in the middle of the night, his wife slipped down to the garage in silence. She switched on a flashlight and looked around the vehicle. Finding what she was searching for—a well-folded vacation package for two with the mistress’s name in the “second person” field—took only a few minutes.
She was genuinely stunned and froze for a time. Then she breathed again. She returned upstairs and spent a considerable amount of time sitting quietly in the kitchen.
She might have caused a commotion. She had the option to call that girl or toss his belongings.
However, she made a different decision. She already had a comprehensive retaliation plan by morning. And Arthur was very shocked by what the smart wife accomplished
She carefully separated a bag of flour into multiple little, clear zip-lock bags. They appeared strange enough to make people wonder, yet they were totally innocent.
She put the bags in her husband’s suitcase between his clothes.
Arthur was feeling very good on the day of the trip. He strolled with his lady at his side. He had no suspicions.
However, the alarm abruptly went off when the suitcase passed through the X-ray scanner. The employees looked at one another and came over to Arthur:
Please accompany us to a different room, sir.
The mistress stiffened:
— What is happening?
A regular check, one of the policemen whispered.
Arthur followed them calmly, certain that his suitcase contained merely flip-flops, shorts, and swim trunks.
However, Arthur’s palms were icy when they placed the luggage in front of him and one of the employees took out multiple tiny bags of white powder.
The security officer questioned sharply, “What is this?”
I don’t know! — Arthur stumbled.
The interrogation lasted for hours. The same inquiries over and over. checked the documents. Experts made a call.
After calling him numerous times, the mistress stopped. Finally, fed up with waiting, she took off by herself.
An expert came into the room after several agonizing hours.
The powder has undergone testing. It’s simply ordinary flour.
The officers looked at each other, now agitated.
You’re free to leave, sir. However, your flight has already taken off.
Arthur gripped his bag hard as he left the room. When he attempted to call his mistress, she stopped answering. He was utterly broken when he got home.
His heart fell when he opened the door. There was nobody present. After taking the kids, his wife departed.
