A manager chases an elderly lady out into the rain — the next day, he finds her dining with the owner

After chasing an old woman outside into the rain, a manager discovers her eating with the owner the following day.

An elderly woman was caught in a torrential downpour on a stormy evening.

Her clothing were saturated, her hair clung to her face, and her once–neat jacket was dripping with water.

She went to the closest restaurant, a classy spot that is renowned for entertaining the city’s elite, just in search of a place to stay dry.

The doorman stopped her at the entrance.

“This is a private establishment, ma’am. He eyed her from head to toe and remarked, “You need a reservation to enter,” before adding in a low voice, “Besides, I doubt you could afford anything here.”

The elderly woman, hurt and humiliated, sought to talk to the management.

Simon, the manager, had a bad attitude when he arrived.

“You need to leave, madam. There aren’t any tables available. “Everything is on hold,” Simon stated in a chilly, aloof voice.
“I… The elderly woman said quietly, “I just have to wait until the rain stops.” “Just something to drink, but I’ll take anything.”

“I said no!” Simon lost his temper. “You’ll frighten our clients away!”

Her eyes glinted with grief, but she remained silent. Clinging to her battered bag, she turned and strode back into the pouring rain without saying a word.

Simon froze the following morning.
Once more, she was present. This time, though, she and the restaurant’s owner were laughing heartily.

Before he could react, the owner noticed him and beckoned with an enigmatic smile.

He said softly, “Simon, come meet someone very special.” 😳

Simon felt his heart pounding and his body froze in place when he noticed who was seated next to the owner…

The owner said, “Let me introduce our wonderful manager.” “He treats our customers with kindness, attention, and respect.”

The elderly woman smiled placidly as she turned to Simon.
“Very pleasant,” she muttered. “Just like you said he was.”

Simon’s heart became constricted. The woman he had rejected the previous evening was back. She glanced back at the owner with a friendly expression.

She remarked, “Your restaurant is stunning.” “My spouse and I would be thrilled to purchase it.”

The woman he had turned down, Linda Meyers, became the new owner the following day. She came early with her spouse to watch the café in action.

She spoke to Simon in a calm yet forceful tone.
“My husband and I have made the decision to demote you to server, Simon,” she said. “It was unacceptable how you treated me that evening.”

Startled, Simon put on a tablecloth and started serving.

A few days later, an elderly woman entered, placed an order for tea and a sandwich, and discovered she had forgotten her wallet.
She remarked, “I can pay for my meal by washing dishes.”

“Don’t worry, ma’am. I will handle your bill.

She gave a thankful smile.

“You’re really nice.”

“Someone gave me a second chance when I didn’t deserve it,” Simon retorted. I wish to do the same for others.”

Just then, Linda came over.
“I have a close friendship with this woman. Have you learned your lesson? That was my question. Your position as manager has been restored.

Tears clouded Simon’s eyes.
“I’m grateful,” he muttered.

Simon worked with a fresh attitude after that day, showing politeness and patience to both clients and staff. The café flourished more than before under his direction.
