The neighbor watered the same patch of ground every day, where nothing grew: when the police arrived, they found something horrifying

Every day, the neighbor irrigated the same area of land, but nothing grew there. When the cops showed up, they discovered something terrible 😱😱

With a yellow hose in her hand, my neighbor would go out to the yard at precisely 6:30 every morning. The same thing happened each time: she irrigated a little area of land near the fence. That patch, always. It stayed dry in the rest of the yard, where strawberries, cucumbers, and tomatoes were growing.

I initially believed she had some really fragile plants there. However, it became evident after a few days that nothing was growing there. Only moist dirt.

When I just couldn’t stand it any longer, I asked:

— Why do you water this place so frequently?

Her hands trembled, she winced, and she said without turning to face me:

I have a unique type of potato here.

Potatoes? With that much water, every day? She was lying, and I knew it. However, I chose to watch instead than press.

A week went by. The neighbor became more anxious and agitated, and the soil continued to be empty. At times, I sensed her intense attention on me, as though she was aware of my suspicions.

I had trouble sleeping that night. I couldn’t stop thinking: what if something wasn’t right there? I phoned the cops in the morning. They agreed to check even though my report appeared odd. And everyone was astonished by what the police discovered in her yard 😱😱

The neighbor went white when the police came into the yard. She attempted to defend herself by claiming that she felt bad about leaving the plants without water and that it was just a habit. However, her words became increasingly jumbled as she talked more.

One of the officers walked up to the damp ground and started to dig. After a few minutes, the shovel struck a solid object. When the earth layer was removed… I almost let out a yell.

There was a human hand protruding from the earth.

As it turned out, the person who had unexpectedly “disappeared” a few months earlier was her spouse. In the hopes that no one would discover, she had killed him during a fight and buried him in the yard.

To hide it, she sowed seeds on top, but they decayed because of the frantic watering, exposing the dirt, which exposed her.

I often wonder if I would have seen anything at all if she had watered the entire garden.
