A young woman married a wealthy older man, hoping that after his death all his fortune would become hers — but shortly after the wedding, something terrible happened

A young woman married a wealthy older man in the hopes that she would inherit all of his wealth after his death, but a horrible tragedy happened soon after the wedding 😨😲

The young student saw it as the opportunity of a lifetime when she discovered that the wealthy man had no children, no family, and not even any distant relations. She was more seduced by a lavish lifestyle, pricey jewelry, and a property by the sea than by love or morals.

She soon devised a scheme to woo the old millionaire, marry him, and become his sole heir. It all went smoothly. Because of her youthful appearance and naive grin, the elderly man fell deeply in love.

The millionaire proposed a month after they first met, and the girl responded “yes” with composure and victory.

The wedding was understated yet tasteful. Because of her husband’s advanced age, she was already envisioning herself as a wealthy widow.

However, a horrible incident occurred a few days after the wedding 😲😱

When she went into her husband’s study one evening while he was sleeping, she saw that the safe was slightly open. She was overcome by curiosity because, based on her calculations, the important papers should have been there.

She pulled out a folder with shaking hands, leafed through the papers, and then stopped. There was not a single word about her in the will.

A foundation bearing his name was given the entire estate, including the mansion, stocks, and accounts, “to support students in difficult situations.”
And his crisp, solid handwriting at the bottom of the page:

“If something were to happen to me, please look into my wife right away. I understood why she had come.

Her hands grew icy. Her heart started pounding.

When she turned around, she found the elderly man standing in the doorway, still and serene, with the same captivating gaze.

— “You honestly believed I wouldn’t notice?” Silently, he said.

— “I have several years of experience teaching psychology. To me, every action you took and every word you said was like an open book.
