I was working as a waitress at a wedding when I discovered that the groom was my own husband

When I found out that the groom was my own spouse when I was serving as a waitress at a wedding, I performed the following.

I wait tables at upscale weddings as a waitress. I had been asked to cover for a coworker that day. The guests were seated, the ceremony was set to begin, and everything was prepared.

A waitress approached me in a panic while I was finalizing the details, asking, “Are you okay? Have you met the groom? Oh no, you wouldn’t have been that composed if you had seen him.

I turned to the entryway, curious. Holding the bride’s hand, the groom had just walked into the room. My husband was the one. Seven years ago, I married this man.

Unable to move, I froze. He failed to notice me at all. Without averting his gaze from his future wife, he moved ahead.

With tears in my eyes, I hurried out of the room. I saw the sign that read, “Welcome to Claire and Ricky’s wedding,” at the door.

For a few seconds, I was stunned and stood motionless. How could he harm me like this? Get married to someone else without even getting a divorce?

I couldn’t just let him get away with this, I thought.

I returned to the room and did the following:

Trembling but determined, I made my way back to the chamber.

I snatched up the microphone next to the DJ, breaking the mellow background music.

Everyone looked at me.

I apologize; I didn’t want to spoil this moment. However, I must speak the truth.

There was stillness in the room.

“The groom, whose real name is Denis, is already married to me, so this wedding shouldn’t be going on.”

There were whispers throughout the audience.

The bride thought it was a bad prank and started laughing.

“Yes, Denis. Did you not anticipate my presence today? You dare to be married again after seven years of marriage without even filing for divorce?

Denis’ face went white, and he was unable to speak.

Startled, the bride took a step back, tossed her bouquet to the floor, and walked out of the room.

As for me, I left the mayhem he deserved behind and walked away with my head held high.
