A red dog unexpectedly showed up at the gas station and began barking loudly at the staff. However, a horrible incident soon followed, and everyone realized why the dog was acting strangely 
It had been a difficult finale to the shift at the gas station. Two workers, exhausted but content, looked at each other and spoke briefly about how tough the day had been but how they had survived it. The end of the workday meant they could finally unwind.
They were talking when suddenly there was a lot of barking. When they turned around, they noticed a red dog on the damp tarmac. As though to make a statement, it stood close to the pump and barked loudly and continuously.
Initially, it appeared to be a straightforward irritation: how many stray dogs are there in the area? However, it became evident within a few seconds that this dog was not feeling well.
The canine gazed straight at the men. It barked loudly and charged at them as they got closer. As though to defend himself, one of the staff members lifted his hand in fear.
However, the dog suddenly got to its feet, placed its front paws on his chest, and proceeded to bark directly at him. It appeared to be making every effort to attract their notice.
The second one angrily exclaimed, “Leave us alone!” and even used his foot to drive the animal away.
However, the dog persisted. It snarled and leaped once again as it rushed around them. It once used its teeth to seize one of the employee’s pants. The man screamed, but his wallet spilled out of his pocket as the fabric ripped. Without hesitation, the dog grabbed it in its jaws and ran off.
The man yelled, “Damn mutt!” as he and his colleague chased after it.
At that same moment, an unforeseen event occurred, and everyone realized why the dog had been acting so oddly.
Only a few meters had passed when there was a loud explosion. Unexpectedly, one of the gas cylinders beside the pump had exploded. Flames broke out as the tremor shook the station.
The staff abruptly turned around, bewildered. Immediately, it dawned on them that they would have perished if they had remained near the pump. The dog had actually saved their lives by guiding them to a safe distance.
The men paused, gasping for air, in disbelief at what had transpired. As though realizing that its task was over, the red dog set the wallet down on the tarmac and just gave them a cool, collected look.
They understood then that it wasn’t a nasty or hapless dog. It was fully aware of its actions.
