On the day of our wedding, my husband shoved me into the swimming pool, and my father’s actions astounded everyone.
Dylan showed me a video of a man hurling his wife into a swimming pool during their wedding a few weeks before to our nuptials. “Imagine doing that at our wedding,” he told me, laughing.
“If you do that, I’m leaving,” I said, giving him a serious look.
“Don’t worry, I’d never do something like that,” he murmured, kissing me. I promise you.

My heart broke. On the most significant day of my life, I had been humiliated by the guy who was meant to protect me.

Everyone froze.
When Dylan realized my father wasn’t kidding, he went pale.
My father cut him off when he attempted to object, saying, “A woman deserves respect, especially on her wedding day.” You don’t deserve to marry her if you are unable to provide her with that.
Some of the guests were surprised, while others were impressed by my father’s bravery.
It was too late for Dylan to apologize.
