We visited my boyfriend’s house, and what my son found in his room shocked me

😳 We went to my boyfriend’s house with my son, and I was really astonished by what I found in his room.

Shortly after the birth of our baby, my spouse left me. I’ve been raising him by myself ever since, and while I’ve had a few relationships, none of them were committed until I met Jake. He loves kids and is a professor at a university. His particular attentiveness to my youngster was what drew me in the most.

One day, Jake offered us to stay at his parents’ seaside home for the weekend. I was going to make my first visit to the house where he grew up. The house had a serene vibe.

Jake clarified that his parents had not tampered with his possessions once he relocated to the city, and everything had stayed exactly as it was. Even the toys he had played with as a child were preserved. I was both moved and interested by this.

My son was playing peacefully in Jake’s room as we were conversing in the kitchen. The air was suddenly filled by a scream. I ran to the room in alarm to find out what was going on. I was equally as surprised when I discovered what my son had discovered in a cupboard.

My son was holding a box when I rushed into the room, and he was scared of what was inside.

The drawings within the box were unsettling.

The drawings grew darker and worse, albeit there were some harmless images.

I never would have guessed the dark side of Jake’s personality that the box showed.

Jake clarified that he had been battling his inner demons for some time.

He was able to go past those obstacles because he had received therapy.

Jake’s honesty and his path offered me hope that it’s possible to change after difficult situations, even though this finding rocked my assumptions.

But trust must be earned, and I needed to give my relationship with him and my son’s safety some serious thought.
