I was uncomfortable when I got out of the car because I wanted to walk over and provide assistance, but I was hesitant because of an inner fear. I was frightened by the animal’s teeth, growl, and unpredictable nature.
However, curiosity outstripped prudence. The dog oddly calmed down as I approached, as if realizing I wasn’t a threat.
I cautiously extended my hand, picked up the envelope, and opened it. and my heart froze when I saw what was inside. 😵
I felt the weight of the envelope when I carefully removed it from the dog, and it wasn’t just a letter. A big bundle of cash, carefully wrapped, and a little letter that read, “Follow the instructions,” were inside.
I wasn’t sure what to do at first. However, I phoned the police since I knew it was best to have someone else act in such a scenario.

The dog was transported to a shelter where it is now safe and receiving round-the-clock care after the offenders were apprehended and their operations ceased.
