Everyone thought this dog was mourning his owner… But when the vet examined him, a shocking truth was revealed

Everyone believed that this dog was grieving for its owner. However, a startling fact came to light when the veterinarian examined him.

A black-and-brown dog had lain for more than a month at the outskirts of a long-forgotten settlement. He didn’t bark, he didn’t ask for food, and he didn’t answer the phone. He simply lay there, on the same grave every time.

“Unfortunately… The people responded empathetically, “He’s still waiting for his master.”

Even though they kept canned food next to him and handed him water and bread scraps, he rarely even looked at it. All he could see was something far away, not the food.

A veterinarian once visited the town to see how a farmer’s horses were doing. He became skeptical at once after learning about the odd dog in the graveyard.

It is not a random act for animals to starve themselves. This goes beyond simple loyalty. He murmured, “There’s something else going on here.”

He went to the grave the following morning.

He sat next to him and said, “Hey, buddy.” — Allow me to look.

The dog didn’t fight back. The veterinarian caressed him tenderly and inspected his head, legs, and ribs before noticing something odd that startled him.It was unlike anything he had ever seen.

He could feel a clean scar on the dog’s abdomen beneath his thin coat.

— Surgery? Lately… Who did your surgery?

His heart skipped a beat as he carefully brought the puppy home and performed an X-ray.

A small metallic structure concealed inside was readily visible on the scan. It was a microchip implant, but it wasn’t a veterinary one. Not for monitoring.
A different story was conveyed by its markings: military origin.

The veterinarian quickly summoned a reliable technician, and the two of them decrypted the contents of the chip. It was a memory module that held voice recordings, coordinates, and bits of video.

As it turned out, the dog had been with a military engineering unit, had been trained for reconnaissance operations, and was an expert at spotting hidden explosives and mines.

And the grave on which he lay? It was named after a lieutenant who was an adept in explosives and communications. According to locals, he had been buried a month previously following an accident.

Then everything became obvious: this dog was his partner. It’s a fellow soldier, not a pet. And he went back to where he had last seen the lieutenant following his passing.

The operation was probably carried out by his former leader, possibly to conceal intelligence that would otherwise be in the hands of the enemy. Now that his handler was gone, the dog just waited for an order that would never arrive.

The veterinarian chose to leave the implant in place. However, the dog still requests to go outside every evening.
