The groom’s friend’s devoted but elderly dog was lying in the shade beneath the table.He had spent the entire morning following his master, but now he was motionless and observing the woman with tension.His tail twitched, his ears pricked up, and the fur on his back stood up.
Bayrak felt that something wasn’t quite right.
The woman was drawing nearer.She was a mere few meters from the bride and groom.The dog suddenly jumped into action.
He ran directly in the direction of the stranger.The guests pivoted.As Bayrak started barking, biting at her clothes, and dragging her to the ground, everyone was terrified.
It was already too late when people discovered what the woman was concealing beneath her dress and why the dog was acting in this manner.
And then there was an explosion.
A loud explosion reverberated across the space.Panic erupted, with some screaming and others falling to the ground.
The explosion took place at the edge of the field, where Bayrak had pushed the woman, away from the crowd.
The woman turned out to be a terrorist.The explosive device that was concealed beneath her garment was prepared for detonation.If she had made it to the crowd, numerous people would have been hurt.She didn’t go that far, though.
Bayrak saved dozens of lives at his own expense.He and the wife both perished.
He was laid to rest beneath the ancient oak tree on the outskirts of the village the next day.Everyone showed up, including the neighbors, guests, and newlyweds.On his grave, a plaque bearing the following inscription was placed:
