I bought two plane tickets, but a mother with a child tried to take my seat: here’s what I did

I frequently travel, and I usually encounter the same issue: because I’m bigger than usual, I can’t physically fit into a regular seat without bumping into the person sitting next to me.

In order to avoid disturbing anyone, I made the decision to purchase two tickets in advance: one for the window and the one next to it.

I sat down and fastened my seatbelt when I was abruptly approached by a woman with a young child. She seated her toddler in the vacant seat beside me without asking.

I composedly clarified that I paid for this seat, that it was also mine, and that I required it for personal use.

However, the woman began to vehemently object.

— “Really? You won’t let a kid take a seat?

Some “nice” other travelers added:

“But it’s a kid!”

I calmly pressed the flight attendant’s summon button and gave her the rundown. I added and displayed both boarding passes.

“You can either locate another seat for this person, or I’ll request that the captain be contacted and that a formal report be filed for interfering with paid seats. Transport laws are broken by this.

It all happened in a flash. The senior flight crew was contacted by the attendant. The woman and her child were taken off the aircraft after speaking briefly with the captain. She had already done this previously; she was just fortunate the prior times.

At last, there was silence beside me as the plane got ready to take off. Some even offered an apology, but the majority chose to ignore it.

P.S. Because I value both myself and other people, I purchased two seats. not to “give them up” to another individual.
