On March 31, 16-year-old student-athlete Connor McCaffety and his parents, Clint and Meghan, lost their lives in a horrific accident close to Milano, Texas. The family’s car was hit by an 18-wheeler in a construction area while they were returning home after a golf event.
A Kia SUV was also involved in the collision, and its driver was sent to the hospital.Connor, a junior at Rogers High School, was interested in the school’s agricultural program and was known as a gifted athlete. The neighborhood is in shock over his untimely demise and those of his parents. Counselors have been made available by the district to assist those impacted.
The community has come together to help the lone survivor, Kelsey McCaffety, with fundraisers such as a livestock auction. Friends, coaches, and organizations have showered the family with tributes, highlighting Connor’s generosity and
intense rivalry. In recognition of his enduring influence, his jersey will be worn throughout the season.The Rogers community is still in mourning and is supporting Kelsey as she deals with the unfathomable loss of her whole family.
