Startled by Karoline Leavitt’s background as an older husband, but what makes everyone appreciate the most is the reason he chose Karoline Leavitt to be his wife.

As the youngest White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt made history at the age of 27, captivating audiences with her composure and self-assurance. She is accustomed to pressure, having served as a congressional candidate and an intern for Fox News.

Her private life also garners attention, especially her marriage to Nicholas Riccio, a 59-year-old New Hampshire real estate tycoon. Leavitt maintains her concentration on her work while juggling the duties of public life, family, and politics in the face of harsh scrutiny.

Even if he currently leads a privileged life, Riccio, whose net worth is $6 million, according to Distractify, did not get there easily.

The 59-year-old’s parents, Anthony and Marilyn, divorced when he was a small child and reared him in New Hampshire.

After they split up, Riccio moved from house to house until he was eighteen and living on the streets.

He earlier told The Portsmouth Herald, “I would call my friends to come over [to] their houses to watch a game when I was 19 or 20 just so I could take a shower.”

By working as a grocery store employee and taking out loans, Riccio paid for his education and eventually earned a degree from Plymouth State University.

His interest in real estate was initially stoked at that point.

After enrolling in a real estate school in 1990, the businessman—who frequently chose to sleep in his car when he was unable to pay his rent—became enamored with the construction industry. When he saw how many properties in the neighborhood needed a serious makeover, he decided to focus his sights on Hampton Beach in New Hampshire.

In 2005, he told the Sunday Herald that while he and his mother were driving around Hampton Beach, they came upon M Street, a lengthy row of buildings that had deteriorated so badly over the years that several of them had been demolished.

Riccio recognized fairly quickly that he intended to leave the street as his legacy, but he had to start small because he lacked the money to immediately buy the entire street.

By pushing his finances, he was able to raise enough cash to purchase just one of the buildings. His real estate portfolio was born.

Leavitt’s sophisticated attitude can also be attributed to her 59-year-old husband, who has been catapulted into the spotlight as his wife creates waves in her new role, in addition to her impressive resume. (Instagram/karolineleavitt)

As the manager of Riccio Enterprises LLC, a multimillion-dollar real estate firm under Nautical Beach Properties, Riccio, a private individual, leads an opulent lifestyle. Ten properties worth between $5,500 and $400,000 are owned by his company; nine of them are in New Hampshire and one is in West Virginia. Although the cause was never identified, one of his residences in New Hampshire caught fire in 2023, resulting in significant water and fire damage.

Beach walks, cruises, dining options, and family-friendly activities are just a few of the vacation experiences that Nautical Beach Properties provides its visitors. The cost of the rooms is between $139 and $154 per night.

Karoline Leavitt, a former Trump White House employee, is Riccio’s wife. He is the “opposite” of her, she says, an introvert who doesn’t use social media. She refers to him as the best father and her “number one fan” despite his reclusive attitude.

Ten residences are presently listed under Riccio’s company’s LLC, nine of which are in New Hampshire and one in West Virginia, per property records.

All of the houses were constructed in the late 20th century, and Riccio spent between $5,500 and $400,000.

Leavitt and Riccio most likely met at a political gathering through a mutual friend. Riccio backed Leavitt’s unsuccessful 2022 U.S. House race. When Leavitt posted a picture of Riccio popping the question on Instagram the following year, they became official. On July 10, 2024, they received a boy, which Leavitt describes as the “best moment” of her life.

Leavitt shared her worries on Instagram and said she was “praying” about losing time with her kid before her position as White House press secretary.

Leavitt expressed her worries about missing time with her son prior to her appointment as White House press secretary, acknowledging that it was challenging but something she prayed about every day. She underlined the temporary nature of the position and thanked her family and husband for their support, hoping that one day her kid will be proud of her. Having worked in the White House during Trump’s first term, she also expressed her delight about returning to D.C.
