Jelly Roll’s 8-year-old son, Noah, may stay out of the spotlight, but he’s a big fan of his dad’s music. Recently, Noah revealed his favorite Jelly Roll song, calling it a “deep cut,” showcasing his appreciation for the more intimate tracks in his father’s catalog. It’s a sweet reminder of the special bond they share.

Noah, Jelly Roll’s 8-year-old kid, may not be in the spotlight often, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t listen to his father’s music.

Big Sonic fan Little Noah was asked to select his favorite Jelly Roll song by an ET Online reporter during his brief stop on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on Monday night (Dec. 16).

He answered shyly into the microphone, “Uh… ‘Creature,'” smiling.

The song “Creature” is taken from Jelly’s 2020 album A Beautiful Disaster, which he released on the independent hip-hop label Strange Music prior to his breakthrough in mainstream country music. That’s a very deep cut.

Additionally, it has Jelly rapping, a vocal style that his fans aren’t used to hearing him sing these days because he’s adopted a more country-leaning sound.

Jelly had previously published seven solo albums and a number of collaboration ventures before he made a major splash in 2021 with his Ballads of the Broken album, which featured his breakthrough single “Son of a Sinner.”

In contrast to his older daughter Bailee, who regularly shows up in his social media posts and at business events, Jelly has generally been fairly silent about his connection with Noah.

In 2023, the singer said that this is because he and Melisa, Noah’s mother, share custody of their newborn kid.

He makes an effort to respect Melisa’s parental control over how much of Noah’s life is shared online, even though he and his wife Bunnie have complete custody of Bailee and are free to decide how much of her life to share with the world.

“With what she’s doing with him, I want to just respect that boundary and never step on her toes,” says Jelly, adding that she tries not to interfere with what she (Melisa) is establishing over there.

Nevertheless, Noah occasionally goes out with his famous father, as during the opening of a new Sonic film.

After concluding his 2024 Beautifully Broken Tour, Jelly told ET Online that he is concentrating on spending time with his family during the holidays, stating they wanted to do “as little as possible.”

Jelly wrapped his arm around his son and said, “We’re going to hang out, man, and play Fortnite.”
