A father has disclosed what led him to believe that anything was amiss after losing his wife and 12-year-old daughter in the horrific American Airlines disaster. On Wednesday, January 29, just before 9 p.m., a PSA Airlines aircraft, which is operated by American Airlines, and a Black Hawk US Army chopper collided in midair.
The accident occurred just before Flight 5342 was ready to touch down at Ronald Reagan National Airport, which is close to Washington, D.C.

The chopper’s wreckage and the plane, which had 60 passengers and four crew members on board, fell into the Potomac River. Three people in the helicopter and 64 people aboard the commercial airliner are thought to have died, and a “recovery” mission is currently in progress.
A man’s wife and his 12-year-old daughter, who had previously survived cancer, are among the deceased.
After attending the US Figure Skating National Development Camp, Andy Beyer returned to the capital and told ABC News that he had lost his wife, 42, and daughter, Brielle. Beyer said his daughter, who was diagnosed with cancer at birth, as “just such a fighter in everything she did.” She simply made the most of every moment of existence.
Beyer said his daughter, who was diagnosed with cancer at birth, as “just such a fighter in everything she did.” She simply made the most of every moment of existence. She was quite happy with her own figure skating growth. Making the squad was one of her life’s goals. And she was successful. She felt very proud of herself.
When Beyer noticed anything was wrong, he was taking his wife and daughter, together with their 6-year-old child, from the airport.
“They hadn’t landed when the plane was supposed to land [and] we couldn’t get text messages through,” he claimed. The sight of all the emergency personnel added to the panic, and a friend who works as an air traffic controller corroborated the story.
Beyer told ABC News, “I didn’t have a lot of optimism because we had a good cry about it right then and there, and then we had to walk in with the family waiting room and everything before we got any official word of what had completely happened.” A “friend of the Beyer family” has created a GoFundMe campaign to support the family during this trying time.
In a tragic turn of events, 12-year-old Brielle and her cherished mother, Justyna, both tragically lost their lives in the recent plane disaster in Washington, DC, according to the website. “As their absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of family and friends, we are asking our community for support during this very trying time.”
