After claiming to having slept with over 700 men, an Australian reality TV star became viral. However, she now claims to have overcome her “sex addiction.”
According to reports, Belinda “Love” Rygier, who made an appearance on The Bachelor Australia in 2017, disclosed that she used to go out for sex up to six nights a week during one phase of her life.
The 38-year-old later participated in a treatment program after finally acknowledging that she had a problem that needed to be addressed, even though the sums involved may seem startling to some.
Not everyone is naturally comfortable talking about their sexual life, and most people find it embarrassing to brag about the number of partners they have had.
However, Belina Rygier revealed that she had slept with at least 700 men, though she was unsure of the exact figure, and that disclosing her entire “body count” was a step in her recovery from addiction.
In 2022, the former TV actress and relationship expert revealed to the You’re a Grub Mate! radio show that she had been celibate for 15 months and was eight years into her rehabilitation.
“Until I fixed it, I was unaware that I had an issue. My relationships were the problem, and I kept drawing toxic men to me,” she said.
After I got better, I believed that my sex addiction was brought on by some unresolved trauma from my past.
“It controlled my life, but I had a great career and was a functioning addict—you wouldn’t know from the outside.”
Belinda, who originally gained notoriety on The Bachelor Australia, admitted that she would frequently go out up to six times a week in search of a sexual partner and claimed she is “not ashamed” of having an abnormally high number of partners.
She claimed that men were excellent at giving her what she wanted to hear and that it was more about feeling loved, accepted, and beautiful than it was about having sex.
Belinda says she believes that people nowadays use sex for the “wrong reasons” and is currently pursuing celibacy.
“We’re using sex for the wrong reason—a quick validation or moment—and society has declined,” she remarked.
“I’m going to have sex again, but with someone I’m close to.”
