Presenting our best self is something that many of us aim to do, and for some, that means making a few improvements. For many people, making their smile better is the first priority, and for one grandmother, that is just the case.
Over the course of 14 years, Hayley Debra Potter struggled with gum disease, which ultimately resulted in the loss of her teeth. She needed dental procedures to restore her smile because the few remaining teeth were stained.
She initially made an effort to hide her smile, but she was simply not that kind of person. At that point, she decided to travel to Turkey and book a visit to Antalya. She was excited to obtain some “Turkey Teeth,” yes.
Hayley found a quote of about £20,000 in the UK to be a little too much. But after choosing to travel to Turkey, she discovered that it was considerably more doable at just £8,000.
Her remaining 13 teeth were extracted during the roughly 4.5-hour treatment, which she traveled for in early October. She decided on bridges and implants at the age of 57, beginning with ten dental implants.
She had to wear her dentures for six months following her original treatment in order to allow her body to recuperate. After that was finished, the crowns and bridges could be put in place.
Given all the rumors about Turkey Teeth, one might think she had a horrible experience, yet she is ecstatic. Her “confidence is through the roof,” she said.
Hayley works as a hospital ward maid throughout the day and frequently feels uneasy. She used to refrain from flashing her teeth when she smiled.
She revealed, “I had to mentally prepare myself to remain composed and concentrate on the outcome.”
“I was up the whole time, but I didn’t mind because the surgeon was so attractive!”
I barely looked like myself after the procedure since I was so bruised and swollen.
However, I feel fantastic right now. I genuinely think this will change my life. This is the biggest smile I’ve ever had.
She asserted that she felt better than she looked, despite the fact that she looked as though she had just left a traumatic dental experience. She claimed to have “no pain at all” and to be totally numb on the first day.
“Anti-inflammatory drugs and painkillers were prescribed to me. Even though I was really bruised and swollen, I felt a lot of support because everyone else at the hotel was getting cosmetic surgery, she said.
She will need to wear dentures for the approximately six months it will take for the implants to fully heal. She has been following a soft food diet since coming home, and she will keep doing so as she heals.
Hayley said, “I was a little anxious before, but everything went so well; I have no complaints.”
“I honestly couldn’t eat hard things previously since my teeth were in such poor condition, but I can’t eat them now.
“I feel great. I’m already aware that this will completely alter my life. I’ve never smiled this much in my life, and I can’t help but smile every time I walk by a mirror.
