Woman adopts ‘ugly’ cat that no one else wanted: ‘It was the best thing to happen to me’

Cats with “grumpy” faces are common, and we can’t help but adore them. Although these cats may not be the most adorable or cuddly in the traditional sense, they do represent the kind of uncontrollably negative attitude that we have all experienced occasionally, and many of them—including the legendary Grumpy Cat—have become online legends.

Therefore, it’s difficult to imagine that one of these “grumpy” kittens would be neglected and given up on at the shelter. That was the situation for one unfortunate cat up until she met the ideal owner who would accept her for who she truly is.

Introducing Bean:

After relocating to her own apartment, Francisca Franken, a major cat enthusiast, expressed her desire to adopt: “I moved into a bigger flat so I could have a cat again,” she told Bored Panda.

She soon found a cat that she instantly fell in love with: Bean, an exotic shorthair rescue.

Bean was characterized as “feisty” and had a distinctive appearance. Francisca fell in love at first sight.

“As soon as I saw her photo, I fell in love.” I must admit that I chuckled at first since I had never seen a cat like this and thought the photographs were hilarious.

However, she received an unexpected answer from the shelter when she contacted them: they didn’t seem to understand why she would want Bean.

She posted on Instagram, “The lovely lady asked me if THAT was the cat I wanted to apply for because nobody had ever shown interest in her.” “The idea that no one wanted her made me cry.”

The woman thought Francesca had pressed the wrong button since she was so confused. Bean had been available for a month, but it seemed that no one had ever shown interest in her.

Bean had some physical problems and had been saved from a life of maltreatment in a trailer home, but it seemed that her appearance was all that was holding her back.

Francesca told The Dodo, “A lot of people who saw her at the shelter said she was ugly.” “However, in my opinion, she is the most ideal girl ever.”

Francesca, who was even more desperate to find Bean a loving home, scheduled a meeting with the shelter and went to see the cat in person.

She also felt even more in love up close, even though the cat’s appearance caused so many people to overlook her.

Francesca told Bored Panda, “What I saw was much more beautiful than I could ever imagine.” “Bean has very short legs and a short tail. She was and still is really little. And the most adorable face I’ve ever seen.

“I was so overwhelmed that as soon as I got into her room, I started crying. It was far better than I had anticipated, even though she was nothing like I had expected.

She took Bean home after just one meeting.

Bean’s difficult past makes sense—it took her some time to warm up to her new owner and feel comfortable.

At first, the cat seemed unduly attached, as though she was afraid of being returned to the shelter if she didn’t show enough devotion.

Francesca said to The Dodo, “At first, she was much more cuddly and clung to me everywhere I went.”

However, Bean quickly warmed up to Francesca and revealed her own nature.

She started to show me her snarky side, I believe, when she realized she didn’t need to “pretend” like way and that I would never let her go again, even if she stopped being sweet and cuddly. However, I adored that since it revealed her really self.

Bean now has more than 4,000 followers on her own Instagram account.

Similar to Francesca, everyone is enamored with this unique cat. Her pictures demonstrate how this silly and sassy feline has allowed her individuality to blossom in her new, loving home.

One of Bean’s numerous eccentricities is his ardent love of olives.

Francesca posted on Instagram, “She loves them so much that she broke into the fridge, gobbled down two or three of them, and got off at lightning speed when I tried to stop her.”

“The thief used all her strength to free herself and the last remaining olive after I managed to catch her.”

Bean is really happy that Francesca provided her the home she might not have had in the first place.

She told Bored Panda, “Taking her in was the best thing to happen to me.” Since no one else was interested in this gorgeous kitty but me, I believe it was meant to be. Although I’ve spent most of my life around cats, she is really unique.

She said to The Dodo, “Bean is not a true emotional support animal, but she’s helped me through a lot of difficult times already, and I can’t express how much I love her.” “She is everything to me, and after going through so much hardship before coming to me, she deserves all the love.”

We’re overjoyed that this gorgeous kitty has a caring forever home! To keep up with Bean’s exploits, you can follow her on Instagram.
