Following his passing, Blake Shelton penned a heartfelt ode to his friend Joe Bonsall.
Joe performed in the gospel and country group The Oak Ridge Boys from 1973 till 2024.
On Tuesday, the 48-year-old Blake posted a photo of himself performing live with The Oak Ridge Boys.

He posted on Instagram Stories, “I’m so sad to hear about the death of my friend Joe Bonsall.”
“I have never seen Joe without a smile on his face and a genuine smile on his face.”
“He loved singing more than anyone I’ve ever met,” Blake continued.
“My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his brothers who play for @theoakridgeboys.” We lost a very significant individual today.
In 2016, Blake released the song “Doing It to Country Songs” alongside The Oak Ridge Boys.
