Kelly Clarkson’s Ex-Husband Ordered to Return Money Taken from Singer

Divorces can be difficult, particularly if there is wealth division involved. Kelly Clarkson has much too much experience with this. After her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, her former spouse, she struggled with money. Nevertheless, there is now good news.

Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock were married in 2013, however they later divorced in 2021. Since then, the singer and her ex-husband have been involved in a court battle. She finally reached a resolution yesterday.

Furthermore, Blackstock received a fee from Clarkson and oversaw her during their marriage. It has now been revealed that he stole a significant quantity of money from her. A California labor commissioner investigated the matter and found that Blackstock had overcharged her for commissions. He has therefore been ordered to pay the Grammy winner back for almost $2,641,374.

But Blackstock is having a hard time accepting this decision. He is preparing an appeal of the court’s ruling.

According to court documents, Blackstock did a number of questionable things for his ex-wife, including arranging jobs and making transactions. Among the agreements reached were those for projects like “The Voice,” Norwegian Cruise Lines, Wayfair, and the Billboard Music Awards. The labor commissioner believes that talent agents, not managers, should be in charge of placing their clients in jobs. This was not an exception, however there might be others.

In light of the court’s ruling, Blackstock is now entitled $1,983,155.70 by Kelly Clarkson for her work on “The Voice,” $208,125 by Norwegian Cruise Lines for her labor, $450,000 by Wayfair, and $93.30 for her three Billboard Music Awards hosting stints.

Kelly also sought remuneration for her work on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” but in that instance, the court found in Blackstock’s favor.

Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock finally finalized their divorce in March of 2022. The legal dispute also involved custody of their two children and ownership of their united Montana property. After her divorce, Kelly moved to New York City for a while to focus on starting anew.

Her personal experiences served as the inspiration for her album “Chemistry,” which she released. Kelly declared that, in spite of the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, she was content with her current single status and had no imminent plans to start dating.

Restarting can be challenging, especially if you thought you would be with someone forever but ultimately ended up divorcing them. Kelly Clarkson has our best wishes for continued success in all of her endeavors. Her fans are happy with the decision because she has recently faced multiple legal challenges.
