My Daughter’s Movie Request

My daughter called me recently, and we had a funny conversation. She started off by saying, “You know that Gladiator movie that I got you?” Inquiring, I said, “Yes.”

“Wind it forward one hour, sixteen minutes, and twenty-eight seconds,” she said, followed by the startling comment. I quickly followed her instructions and asked, “Right, I’ve done that.”

With enthusiasm in her voice, she exclaimed, “Okay, you see the gladiator at the front fighting the lion!” I laughed and said, “Yeah, I can see that.”

But she wasn’t done yet. She remarked, “Right behind him are two gladiators fighting with swords.” “Alright, I see them,” I responded, appearing shocked.

She then delivered the punchline. “Well, on the left-hand side of the screen, behind those two, there’s a woman gladiator holding a spear,” she said. I was intrigued by her attention to detail, so I laughed and said, “Yes!” I catch sight of her.

Then she disclosed her startling request about her upcoming birthday. Yes, she cried. For my birthday, I would like such sandals.

Bringing Happiness Into My Life
